Five Tips of Happiness in 2007- Part I
January 3rd 2007 04:05
Most people believe that if they just had more money, the things that make them unhappy would disappear and their lives would be better. The truth is that your life can be better without more money. It can be better today, but you need to make some decisions and take some actions.
David Bach, author of "The Automatic Millionaire" has listed Five Tips of Happines.
Here they are:
Give Yourself a Break
Make a list of all your personal and financial if-onlys.
For example, "If only I had saved more money. If only I hadn't quit that job. If only I hadn't taken the job I have."
After reading the list aloud to yourself, get rid of it. Let it all go by literally burning the list (safely). Now you're ready for a fresh start in 2007 -- a new beginning.
Get Connected with Your Truth
Asking yourself some key questions will lead you to some amazing discoveries, and possibly motivate you to do what it takes to create the life you envision for yourself.
·What makes you happy?
·What are you currently doing that prevents you from experiencing joy?
·What's working in your life?
·Who's not working in your life?
·Who in your life is subtracting value from and adding misery to it?
·Can you fix any of these relationships, or should you let them go from your life?
·What relationships are working in your life?
·What's the single most important thing you've learned about yourself as a result of answering these questions?
You'll find that writing the answers on paper will help you understand your life better and the actions you need to take are more obvious and easier to initiate.
Hope these 2 tips help you get started on the right track this year...I'll be back tomorrow with the remaining 3 tips

I think these are great tips, but what do you think about the old saying that the best way to both be happy and get rich is to find out what you like doing and then get someone to pay you to do it... what d'you think?

The first tip I will implement in 2 days, it is easy, no subjectivity.
The second tip seems complex for simple folks .
Pl throw more light on itYour text goes here!

You are right.. The second tip is obviously hard to implement. It involves soul searching and spending time alone with oneself trying to dig deep in...Most people are a little hesitant to do that since they are afraid of what answers they may come up with
But deep down, everyone knows the answers. Spending some time thinking about them and writing them on paper gives clarity and lets you define what is most important to you at the present time in your life
This is definitely going to involve some time and lots of introspection and may be a painful process but only you know the answers to these questions .
Once you get these answers on paper the next step about what to do will become obvious
